Description: Acadia National Park offers remarkably dark skies for the East Coast. It helps that there is nothing to the south and east except open ocean. Some spots recommended for stargazing include Jordan Pond, Sand Beach, and Seawall Picnic Area. Note that Cadillac Mountain closes to vehicles at 10PM. Park Loop Road also closes in the winter.
