Description: 
The park is the darkest place in Slovakia, where the night sky is preserved almost in its natural form. There are very few similar cities in the civilized world. The average sky brightness in the park is 21.5 mag/arcsec². Depending on the location and atmospheric conditions, it is between 21.3 and 21.7 mag/arcsec². The sky’s appearance corresponds to degrees 2 to 3 on the Bortle scale of darkness of the sky. In the night sky, all objects and phenomena typical of the natural sky, such as the zodiacal light, the belt and the overhang, can be seen in good weather. The limited star size of the weakest stars visible without the telescope is 7.4 mag.
